How to Open a New Window When Replying in Outlook 2016

When a user clicks on the reply button in Outlook 2016, the email draft opens in the same screen. Sometimes, the draft may appear in a constrained reading pane which would greatly reduce the visibility of the overall message. There is a button which allows the user to Pop Out the draft into a separate window, but this article will discuss how to open a new window when replying in Outlook 2016 automatically each time the reply button is clicked.

How to Open a New Window When Replying in Outlook 2016

The change is applied through the Outlook Options. Here are the steps:

  1. Click on File > Options
  2. Click on Mail
  3. Scroll down until you reach Replies and forwards section
  4. Click on Open replies and forwards in new window checkbox to enable it
  5. Click OK

That’s it! From now on, when you click on the Reply button, the draft will open in a new window giving you more visibility of your message.
