Update [Tuesday, January 9, 2018, 9:45 AM]: Called up Loblaws and the card is not limited to 1 per household. Each adult in the house can register for a card.
Visit the Loblaws Website to register. Hurry, you must submit your registration by May 8, 2018. Also, Loblaws may limit the number of cards that will be issued.
As per Loblaws website, you are eligible to receive a gift card if you purchased one of the following brands of bread from Loblaws, Atlantic Superstore, Bloor Street Market, Cash & Carry, Club Entrepôt, Dominion (in Newfoundland & Labrador), Extra Foods, Fortinos, Independent City Market, Loblaws City Market, Maxi, Maxi & Cie, No Frills, Presto, Provigo, Provigo Le Marché, Real Canadian Superstore, Real Canadian Wholesale Club, Valu-mart, Wholesale Club, Your Independent Grocer, or Zehrs in the period between January 1, 2002 and March 1, 2015: Ben’s Bread, Bon Matin Bread, Country Harvest Bread, Dempster’s Bread, D’Italiano Bread, Gadoua Bread, McGavin’s Bread, No Name Bread, Old Mill Bread, POM Bread, Weston Bread, and Wonder Bread. You also have to be at least 18 years of age.
No receipt or proof of purchase is required to get a card. This leaves the program to potential abuse; however, who keeps receipts from 10 years ago anyways? The balance on the card does not expire. The card must be activated prior to use.
The website does ask for various personal information including your date of birth. A program administrator may also contact you to verify your information. It is not clear whether the card is limited to one per household or whether each shopper in a household can claim a card. However, since me and my wife both shop independently, we signed up for 2 cards and the system did not refuse the registration.
After registration, it may take upto 12 weeks for the gift card to arrive.
After signing up, you can check the status of your registration through the Loblaw website. Here are the steps:
If you are experiencing issues with your Windows system due to the Crowdstrike update, here's…
Koodo customers in Canada can now get Amazon Prime, Netflix Standard with ads and Disney+…
If you received an email with a single use code to login to your Microsoft…
If you are trying to login to your Microsoft account and getting the following error…

this card wants your personal information - that we are supposed to trust the fraudsters Loblaws - won't use to sell -or be so stupid as to leak to people looking for identity theft. They say they need it to protect against fraud LMAO at that one - duh - you committed the fraud Loblaws - now you want more personal information after 15 years of cheating the public - I hope people have more integrity than to buy this gift card public relations scam - Stop shopping at the store all together - all of them - find a better place. In a pit of vipers which are corporations - not all have sunk as low as Loblaws - you can, actually do a little bit better believe it or not - boycott them permanently.
You are absolutely right. Our personal info will most likely be handed over to marketing firms. But, if you are like me, this has been done already over and over again by other large companies lol. Marketing calls and email spam have become part of life now. It is definitely wise to not sign up if you fear any harm.
