Activate GodMode for Windows 7 and Windows 8

There is a cool feature on Windows 7 and Windows 8 called GodMode which will enable a user to quickly and easily access a huge amount of system maintenance and administrative tools all in one place. It is one of the hidden features of Windows and can be easily activated.

Step 1: Create a New Folder on your Desktop

Step 2: Name the folder GodMode{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}. As soon as you rename the folder, the string of letter and numbers will disappear and the folder icon will be changed.

Step 3: Double click on the icon and you will see all the controls in one place.

GodMode gives you access to the following controls in one convenient folder:

  • Action Center
  • Administrative Tools
  • Auto Play
  • Backup and Restore
  • Bitlocker Drive Encryption
  • Color Management
  • Credential Manager
  • Date and Time
  • Default Programs
  • Desktop Gadgets
  • Device Manager
  • Devices and Printers
  • Display
  • Ease of Access
  • Folder Options
  • and pretty much everything else you would have in the Control Panel

Have fun!
